Meet the Instructor
PFI Instructor, Technical/DPV Freediver
Willow Wise, Lead Instructor
Beginning her professional Freediving journey early, Willow moved to the island of O’ahu to pursue a career as an instructor with Performance Freediving International. With five years of teaching and a decade of diving under her belt, she has had the privilege of training alongside some of the best instructors in the industry.
As an instructor, Willow has worked as a member of Aquatic Survival International, providing specialty breath-hold training for the special forces operatives of the US Armed Forces, as well as civilian groups such as the Papahanaumokuakea Project.
Willow applies her skills as a technical Freediver into her courses with the belief that having a strong understanding of dive theory, physiology, and safe diving practices creates Freedivers with the ability to critically think, plan, and problem solve as they continue on their diving journeys. From teaching large-scale courses in surf-survival and specialty Freediving, to recreational and competition-style diving, her goal is to create competent, confident divers while fueling their passion for the sport.
